'Empty Chair' is my latest project - it is an ambitious, heartbreaking 15 minute drama short film.

JUST ANNOUNCED on Instagram, the official synopsis of 'Empty Chair':
'A usually strong married couple faces a horrifyingly tense, heartbreaking situation when their son is rushed into emergency surgery after a horrific car accident.'
Pre-Production is in full swing as I set up meetings with potential crew members; and also begin the planning stages for crowdfunding and early proof of concept shooting. I am so excited to continue working on this project, and truly believe it is turning into something special. Cannot wait to reveal more information soon.

'Empty Chair' -- 21st of OCTOBER 2025
After the selection at Bournemouth International Film Festival for 'Empty Chair' - I have been inspired to officially put the short film into pre-production and begin acquiring crew - starting with the director of photography, which I have attached Alfie Sadler to, who I recently worked with on a fifteen minute short film, 'Eventide', which I wrote and he was the cinematographer. I believe he has the talent to truly bring my vision to life and enhance the story of the Turner family.

Beyond proud to announce that the screenplay for 'Empty Chair' has had it's first selection for a film festival, before the film has even entered production! It is an official selection at Bournemouth International Film Festival - which takes place in October 2025!
'Empty Chair' -- 12th of MAY 2025
After months of planning, writing and re-writing, I have finally finished the screenplay for 'Empty Chair'! I am beyond happy with how it has turned out, and this just makes me even more excited to begin production at some point in the near future! I know that due to the ambitious nature of this film that I probably won't enter production until at least 2027, so while I keep working behind the scenes, I want to enter this script into some film festivals!

After completing my 'Five Films in Five Weeks' challenge that I set for myself, I have decided to revisit the story of 'Empty Chair' after neglecting it for a few months. I have begun creating the treatment for the film and cannot wait to start writing!

I have begun writing a story that I feel incredibly passionate about - a story about two loving parents - who have their tight bond tested to the maximum when their son has to have emergency surgery after a horrific car crash. A long period of writer's block has finally inspired me to plan a new short film - and this story has been sat in my notes app for months.
